The value for money was great at this hotel. The room was spacious, with a comfortable bed and a big tub. The location was convenient, with Pavilion mall and a park within walking distance. The staff were delightful, always charming and courteous.

The only thing that could have made the breakfast better was a wider selection of dishes.

Very good breakfast. Convenient location close to Metro, Zhongshan Square, and night market. Comfortable beds with great views on high floors. Impressive facilities including German bar, swimming pool, and exercise club. Helpful and attentive staff.

Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like.

The Kempinski in Dalian is a great choice for expats living in China. It is a nice place to "escape" from daily life when you don't have time for a proper vacation. The staff is friendly and relaxed. It's easy to feel comfortable and at-home there. The spa, pool and health centre are fantastic and there are some great restaurants. The German restaurant downstairs has fantastic beer. Compared to 5 star hotels in other countries or regions, the Kempinski is a real bargain.

The decor in the rooms is a little spartan. There is no art or color.

The breakfast offered a great variety of food, including delicious pastries and eggs cooked in six different ways. The hotel had a great location near a beautiful park and convenient for exploring the city. We also appreciated the helpful and friendly porters who greeted us and assisted us with our luggage.

The room was uncomfortably hot as the air conditioning did not work properly and the bathtub and toilet design made for an uncomfortable stay. communication with the staff was difficult as their English was not very good and they did not provide much information or assistance.

This hotel is perfectly located right next to the cooling tower, offering stunning views of the city and Labour Park. It is also conveniently situated in the center, within walking distance of numerous food and shopping options. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped, providing a comfortable stay. Additionally, the breakfast buffet offers a wide selection of delicious local and international cuisines.

One minor drawback is the noise from the AC in the room, which can be a bit inconvenient for light sleepers.

Dtayed on 3 occassions during a 2 week business trip. On each occasion the room was excellent, quiet, and could not be faulted. Good restaurants, with a real german food and beer in the bierkeller for when you want a change from Chinese food. The extra cost of the Executive floor is well worth it.

The only niggle is that because parking space in front of the hotel is very limited, the over-zealous attendants will not even let a car in to drop guests off. ( This happened not just once, but several times). Walking in from the street in a downpour isn't what you would expect for a hotel which is 5* in all other respects.

The location is great as it is close to both shopping and a nice park to walk around.

The hotel room was too hot and we also had no water which is not acceptable for a 5 star hotel. We paid a lot of money for an executive room and did not receive benefits that were worth the money. We had no control over the temperature of our room and sweated all night long and could not sleep and then we went to enjoy our bathtub and found that we had no water so we had to change rooms simply to have a shower. Not acceptable for the high price we paid at a 5 Star hotel. Do not stay here as there are many other nice hotels in the area for cheaper rates that would probably do more to accommodate you!

The breakfast buffet at Kempinski was diverse and delicious, with options from Japan, China, and Europe. We especially loved the homemade yogurt. The view from our room overlooking Labor Park was lovely. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was exactly what we needed, with a great tub. The location was perfect, with shops and malls within walking distance. The cost was practical and we even signed up for the Kempinski Discovery program. I'll recommend this hotel.

This is a very luxurious hotel with very friendly and helpful staff in the centre of Dalian - I would certainly return to stay here again

The room is clean and the service, especially house keeping service is excellent ! And the breakfast is also very good !
